HELPROOM ANSWER Windows is clearly not happy with System Mechanic, Marcus. There could be many reasons for this, but it sounds as though you'd sooner just get rid of it.
Uninstall System Mechanic 9.5 by going to Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, selecting the program and choosing Uninstall.
Following a restart, go to Start, Run, type msconfig and press Enter. Click on the Services tab and look for entries for 'iolo FileInfoList Service' and 'iolo System Service'. Clear the tick boxes for both, then reboot the PC.
Also look in the C:\Program Files directory for an 'iolo' folder and delete this.
Finally, download and install CCleaner. Run the Registry-cleaning module and have it fix any issues it finds. It'll prompt you to back up your PC - please follow this advice before continuing.
